Four States Of Human Consciousness
First State: Some fall by the path and these are not useful at all. They hear but do not act, respond. Some have described these individuals as: "they don't have church in them."
Although it roots it does nothing and false thoughts destroy it.
This individual state of consciousness does not take note of any spiritual thing. This state is blind to spiritual consciousness.
The Birds come and eat it up:
This is a state of human consciousness where everyone feeds upon it, it appears to have no thought of its own because it has refused to grow into the soil of truth.
Second State:
"Some fell on rocky places where it did not have much soil it sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up the plants were scorched and they withered because they had no root."
This state of consciousness receives the Truth, likes it, thinks it makes sense and wants to know more, someday but is not willing to practice the principles, take classes, just enjoys the music and loves to be with the people but remember that it still has no root.
When trouble comes along this state of consciousness dies because it is on a rocky place and cannot grow. It does not have the root to grow and thus water it during hard times. This consciousness does not have the ability to take a stand when something goes wrong.
How can we help this state of consciousness develop when it comes to us?
This state of consciousness is the average type that comes to us and has not been in the Truth Movement before.
1. We help the individual grow by arms around consciousness.
2. We invite to classes, programs, fellowship times, we make them welcome.
3. When times get hard (and they will) we keep them watered by love until they can take root in good soil.
Third State:
"Others fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants."
These thorns are doubts, fears, cares of the world around us, failures that hurt us. All these thorns are doubts and fears that tare at us.
Forth State:
"Others fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty, thirty times what was sown."
This individual has gone through problems, challenges but stayed steady and had good root and could produce good fruit.
Now, we should clearly understand that no one is forced to stay in some certain state of consciousness. We do not believe in predestination. Each individual is free to learn and progress.
We can be transformed from one state of consciousness to another:
Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. . ."
